The Air Jordan 5 Retro T23 'Tokyo' was an extremely limited and highly coveted regional exclusive release to celebrate the opening of the Jordan Tokyo 23 store in Japan. The sneaker features a bright Varsity Maize (yellow) suede upper, which is contrasted with Anthracite and Wolf Grey accents on the tongue, eyelets, and side mesh panels. Black detailing is found on the laces, midsole, and the "23" branding on the heel, which is styled to look like a Japanese character. The shoe also includes a distinctive yellow and black tongue with a special "23" logo unique to this release. The color scheme is a direct nod to the colors of the Japan national basketball team.
