This shoe is part of the annual Nike Doernbecher Freestyle Collection, where shoes are designed by patients of OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, making it a highly exclusive release. Designed by Chase "The Captain" Swearingen, who was a 14-year-old hydrocephalus patient, the shoe reflects his life and personality. The vibrant design features a bold Hyper Cobalt blue upper with accents of Volt and Blue Glow. Special details include a tube-like graphic running along the tongue, representing the shunt used to treat his hydrocephalus, and a lighthouse graphic on the heel, a nod to his appreciation for lighthouses. The slogan "Unstoppable Chase" is also integrated, capturing his persistent spirit.
