The J Balvin x Air Jordan 3 Retro 'Rio' is the fourth collaborative sneaker between Jordan Brand and Colombian reggaeton artist J Balvin, and the second colorway of the Air Jordan 3 silhouette from the partnership. Named after Balvin's son, Rio, this edition features a Black leather upper with elephant print overlays in a slightly darker Off-Black/Grey tone on the toe and heel. The design captures the vibrant sunset hues of Balvin's hometown, Medellín, through a colorful gradient effect that transitions from Total Crimson (a deep red/orange) to Solar Flare (yellow/orange) to Abyss (purple/blue) on the back of the polyurethane midsole and the translucent heel tabs. The heel tabs feature the classic 'Nike Air' logo on the left shoe and J Balvin's signature smiley face logo on the right. The color gradient is also visible beneath the translucent outsole, making this a bold and artistically detailed take on the iconic model.
