This highly sought-after collaboration with Los Angeles-based boutique Union LA is a "Frankenstein" fusion of two original Air Jordan 1 colorways: the "Chicago" and the "Shadow." The forefoot, toe box, and eyelets feature the iconic Varsity Red and white color blocking of the "Chicago," while the rear ankle collar, heel, and top eyelet take on the Shadow Grey and black hues of the "Shadow" colorway. The two parts of the shoe are visibly "stitched" together with a contrasting, thick yellow thread wrapped around the collar area, which is a signature design element of Union's previous collaborations. The shoe features an aged, Sail/Muslin midsole and tongue for a vintage aesthetic, and includes a woven UN/LA tag stitched near the ankle, signifying the partnership.
