The sneaker is a highly accurate re-creation of the original 1985 Air Jordan 1 silhouette, released to celebrate the model's 35th anniversary. The '85 shape features a slightly higher cut and more authentic paneling and toe box shape than standard retros. The colorway applies a classic Varsity Red and black color blocking, often referred to as a "Reversed Bred" or "Reverse Banned" look. It features a black leather base on the side panel and toebox, with Varsity Red on the toe box, heel, and ankle flap. The shoe maintains the traditional "Nike Air" branding on the tongue and is rumored to have been limited to only 23,000 pairs, with each pair including a numbered drawstring bag and a commemorative hangtag.
