This was the first collaboration between stylist and fashion blogger Aleali May and Jordan Brand, and the first Jordan Brand sneaker collaboration designed by a woman. It applies a material twist to the iconic "Shadow" colorway, drawing inspiration from vintage Starter jackets and the slippers May's father and uncle wore. The upper is constructed with high-end materials, featuring black corduroy on the quarter panels and a silky silver Satin on the toe box and heel area (in place of the typical leather and suede). A prominent feature is the fuzzy, grey chenille Swoosh on the sides, reminiscent of a varsity jacket patch. It maintains the classic Shadow Grey on the ankle collar and a clean White midsole with a black outsole. The tongue tag is also accented with orange.
