This model is a tribute to Jordan Brand athlete and New York Yankees baseball legend, Derek Jeter. The shoe features a low-top "Phat" silhouette, which is a slightly bulkier take on the original. The upper is constructed primarily from Sail (off-white) canvas, giving it a casual, non-leather appearance. The stitching throughout the upper is done in Dark Obsidian (a deep navy blue), a nod to the Yankees' colors. Special details include Gold laces and gold branding. The most unique features are found on the heel panels: one heel is embroidered with "Since 23" and the other with "Since '09," and the toe panel features 27 subtle tally marks to commemorate the New York Yankees' 27 World Series championships at the time of release.
