The Air Jordan 3 Retro 'Doernbecher Hugo' is part of the 2023 Doernbecher Freestyle Collection and was designed by Hugo Covarrubias Molina. The shoe is a tribute to Hugo's favorite NFL team, the Seattle Seahawks, featuring a Navy blue leather upper contrasted with traditional grey elephant print overlays. A striking Slime Green color is used for a unique "drip" effect around the eyestay and collar, inspired by Hugo's nickname, "Juice." The glow-in-the-dark laces and a transparent heel tab showcase Hugo's stylized logo and an embossed Jumpman. The design includes a gold-plated hangtag that doubles as a pendant, referencing his love for gold chains. The green-tinged translucent outsole is printed with Hugo's inspiring message: "It's OK to be different."
