The Air Jordan 5 Retro SP 'Michigan' pays tribute to the University of Michigan Wolverines, one of the schools sponsored by Jordan Brand. The shoe features an upper constructed entirely of bright Amarillo (yellow) nubuck, which is reminiscent of the 'Lightning' Air Jordan 4. College Navy accents are used on the midsole, tongue lining, and laces, completing the Michigan Wolverines team colors. Unique features include a tag stitched onto the heel in place of the usual Jumpman logo that reads "Team Jordan," a reflective tongue, and the word "Inspire" printed on the inner side of the tongue. The midsole features the signature shark-tooth detailing with a yellow speckled pattern.
