This hybrid model combines the silhouette of the Air Jordan 1 with iconic design elements from the Air Jordan 4, the model originally released in 1989 (hence the '89 suffix), and features the famed "Black Cement" colorway. The upper is predominantly Black, but features the distinctive Cement Grey elephant print on the plastic wings that replace the traditional ankle collar overlay. The mesh netting from the AJ4 appears on the quarter panels and tongue, replacing the typical AJ1 leather. Fire Red accents are used on the tongue lining and the Jumpman logo. The sole unit is that of the Air Jordan 1, completing the fusion design.
