This model re-imagines the original "Bred" (Black and Red) colorway, which was famously "banned" by the NBA in 1985. The key feature of this release is the material change: the standard leather upper is largely replaced with premium Black and University Red satin fabric on the toe box, mid-panel, collar, and heel overlays. The interior lining is also satin for a luxurious feel. The tongue is nylon, and the classic Nike Air branding is on the tongue tag. This version was an extremely limited release, with each pair individually numbered out of 501 on the inner collar, making it a very rare collector's item.
