This sneaker is a retro release, celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Nike Doernbecher Freestyle collection, reintroducing a design originally created in 2013 by patient designer Elijah Diggins. The shoe features a striking red Foamposite shell upper, which symbolizes both the Burkitt leukemia he beat and his favorite NBA team. The red shell is contrasted with black accents on the mesh inner bootie, laces, and outsole. A personalized touch includes Elijah Diggins' name on the strap over the forefoot, and a graphic on the sockliner inspired by a silver bracelet gifted to him on his 13th birthday. The design is supported by a two-tone shank plate in the midfoot.
