This sneaker is a special edition collaboration with NBA player Rui Hachimura, celebrating his Japanese heritage. The upper is constructed from a textured, Twine-colored suede, inspired by Japanese textile crafts, with a cracked leather finish. Black and Sesame details provide contrast, while Gym Red accents—which nod to the Japanese flag—are found on the chenille tongue patch, which features Rui's personal "H" logo instead of the standard Jumpman, and on the heel. Additional Japanese characters are featured on the insole and the inside of the tongue, reinforcing the "Black Samurai" theme.
